On September 18, 2025, at 7:30 PM, the Achilleas Varvaressos Gallery located on the beach of Neapolis inaugurated a remarkable art exhibition featuring talented artists. This exhibition, titled “A Greece of Light,” is organized by the artist and art historian Konstantina Farmaki. She emphasized that the artworks have previously been displayed in various countries, including Austria, Germany, and Spain, and are making their debut in Greece, specifically in a new city rather than a major urban center.
The exhibition is a significant cultural event, showcasing the works of 31 established artists from both Greece and abroad. Farmaki noted that the exhibition aims to foster a dialogue that transcends borders, using art as a common language. She described it as a tribute to the power of art itself.
Farmaki is well-known for her contributions to the cultural landscape of the Voians community during the eight-year tenure of Mayor Giannis Kousoulis. Her artistic endeavors included creating satirical floats for local carnivals and painting murals, enriching the cultural and festive atmosphere of the region.
The exhibition will run from September 18 to 28, 2025, and will be accompanied by various parallel activities. Visitors can attend on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Attendees expressed the importance of hosting such events, highlighting their role in elevating and enhancing the cultural level of the area.
Finally, there is a reiterated call for the continuous operation of the Achilleas Varvaressos Gallery, with indications that this goal may soon be realized.
