The 3rd General Lyceum of Sparta is set to embark on an enriching educational journey as part of the Erasmus+ program, leveraging its Erasmus accreditation. This exciting initiative will take place in Bologna, Italy, from February 1 to February 8, 2026, involving 11 students and 3 teachers from the school.

Accompanying them will be:
– Stavroula Lagou, the school principal
– Aikaterini Exomanidi, Theology teacher
– Panagiota Laskari, Philology teacher
This initiative is in collaboration with the Italian school Liceo Laura Bassi, and it will also include participation from student groups from Belgium and Austria, enhancing the multinational and intercultural character of the program.
Participants will engage in a diverse array of educational, cultural, and experiential activities. They will attend classes at the host school, collaborate on joint projects with peers from various European countries, and experience different educational systems and cultures.
Additionally, the program includes educational visits to cities and monuments of European cultural heritage, such as Bologna, Venice, and Florence, as well as museums and historical sites. A highlight of the program will be a thematic lecture titled «Teenagers & AI,» presented by a researcher from the University of Bologna, aimed at fostering digital literacy and critical thinking among students.
The students will be hosted by local families, which will significantly contribute to their understanding of daily life in the host country and enhance their social skills, autonomy, and sense of responsibility.
In a statement, Principal Stavroula Lagou emphasized the school’s commitment to participating in European programs, providing students with invaluable learning experiences while fostering European awareness, cooperation, and mutual respect.
