From July 24 to 26, 2026, Monemvasia will host the 9th International Symposium in Finance (ISF2026), becoming a focal point for distinguished researchers and academics from around the globe. This premier academic event will take place at the Monemvasia Tourist Pavilion, under the auspices of the Municipality of Monemvasia.
Organized by Professors Konstantinos Bozos, Raphael Markellos, and Nikolaos Vlastakis, the symposium has garnered collaboration from renowned academic institutions, including the University of Leeds, University of East Anglia, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and the International University of Thessaloniki. Notably, the event is supported by the Regulatory Authority for Waste, Energy, and Water (RAAEY) and graciously sponsored by the Bank of Greece.
The symposium will see participation from researchers affiliated with globally recognized universities such as Texas A&M University, University of Manchester, University of Vienna, University of Western Ontario, and Athens University of Economics and Business.
A special acknowledgment is due to Professor Panagiotis Alexakis, whose invaluable efforts were crucial in securing Monemvasia as the venue for this symposium, complemented by the supportive collaboration of the mayor of Monemvasia, Mr. Iraklis Tschichilis, and the local authorities.
Over three days, participants will present groundbreaking research addressing contemporary and critical issues. Key topics of discussion will include:
- The impact of Artificial Intelligence on society, human rights, and democracy
- Corporate sustainability and sustainable development
- Cutting-edge technologies in the financial sector
- Modern models of corporate governance
