On Friday, August 28, 2026, at 20:30, the enchanting Platia Chrysafitissas in the Castle of Monemvasia will be transformed into a stunning backdrop, illuminated by the glow of the August full moon. This unique setting promises an unforgettable musical experience for both residents and visitors. After several decades, classical and baroque music will make a much-anticipated return to this iconic castle, offering an evening of exquisite artistic enjoyment.
The acclaimed De Profundis Ensemble, a talented seven-member string group comprising exceptionally gifted young musicians, will present the program titled “Antonio Vivaldi and His Era.” Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the illustrious figures of the baroque period, immersing themselves in the rhythm, vitality, and excitement of timeless masterpieces from the renowned composers Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach.
This concert is organized by the Cultural Journeys association (Monemvasia Film Club) with the support of the Peloponnese Regional Authority and the Municipality of Monemvasia.
