On Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Church celebrated the memory of Saint Osiomartyr Paraskevi, with the town of Molaoi honoring their patroness with great splendor. The festivities began on the evening before the feast day at the beautifully adorned church dedicated to her, where a grand Archieratical Vespers service was held, led by His Grace Bishop Theophilus of Lakedaimonia.
The main day of the celebration featured the solemn Orthros service, the blessing of the loaves, and the Archieratical Divine Liturgy, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Eustathius of Monemvasia and Sparta. During the service, Deacon Arsenios Bourouiana delivered an inspiring message to the devout Christians who filled the church and its surroundings.
A significant highlight of the Divine Liturgy was the ordination of Father Nektarios Koutsoyiannopoulos, the parish priest of Molaoi, as Protopresbyter. His Eminence praised Father Nektarios for his faith, character, diligence, and the Christian family he has built with his presbytera.
Following this, the Metropolitan also ordained Father Arsenios Bourouiana as Archdeacon, recognizing his spirituality, character, consistency, and hard work throughout his ministerial journey.
The event was captured in photographs by Dimitrios Skiadas, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere and the community’s devotion. This celebration not only marked a religious occasion but also reinforced the bonds of faith and community in Molaoi, reflecting the enduring spirit of the Orthodox Church.
