On Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 19:30, the Friends of Monemvasia Association invites the public to an important event focusing on the cable car project in Monemvasia. The theme of the gathering is: “The Cable Car Project in Monemvasia: Cultural Management – Safety – Economic Viability.”
The event will feature distinguished speakers, including Dr. Giannis Theocharis, an archaeologist specializing in Byzantine archaeology and a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Greek Archaeologists. Joining him will be Elizavet Solomou, an archaeologist with a Master’s degree in Cultural Management and a doctoral candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
