The picturesque town of Monemvasia is set to host the 2nd Festival of Laconian Products from Friday, August 1, 2025, to Sunday, August 3, 2025, along the coastal road of the Tourist Pavilion. This vibrant initiative is a collaboration between the Chamber of Lakonia, the Region of Peloponnese, the Municipality of Monemvasia, and the Development Company of Parnon, aiming to bolster the outreach of local businesses and promote Laconian products and services.
The festival promises a rich array of activities, including:
- An exhibition showcasing Laconian products and services.
- Gastronomic events featuring tastings led by the renowned Greek chef, Ms. Dina Nikolaou, alongside local chefs who will prepare and present recipes using Laconian ingredients.
- A commemorative album presentation celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Chamber of Lakonia, scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Monemvasia Castle.
- Parallel events highlighting the productive profile of the region, complemented by cultural performances.
Businesses involved in the agri-food sector and exports interested in participating in the exhibition must submit a completed application to the email address provided by Friday, July 11, 2025.
For the tasting and gastronomic events featuring Chef Nikolaou, local products will be sourced from member businesses of the Chamber. Participation costs for the exhibition of Laconian products are as follows:
- €350 plus VAT, which includes a pagoda measuring (3.60 m length x 2.00 m width) with a side height of 2.35 m and a peak height of 3.10 m.
- €500 plus VAT, for a larger pagoda (5.30 m length x 2.00 m width) with the same height specifications.
- €700 plus VAT, for the largest pagoda (7.20 m length x 2.00 m width) with the same height specifications.
