The 8th Chania International Photo Festival has successfully concluded, celebrating the winners of the 8th Chania Photography Marathon. This year, the event saw a remarkable number of entries, showcasing impressive photographs from both Greek and international photographers.
Among the standout participants, the top awards were presented to:
- Paul Farley from the USA – 1st Prize
- Emil Fuchs from Germany – 2nd Prize
- Robert Barcia from the USA – Honorable Mention
- Andreas Pantelidis – Honorable Mention
- Athina Galanaki – Honorable Mention
- Laura Vei – Honorable Mention
During the festival, 351 photographers from 69 countries exhibited their work in one of the city’s oldest and most iconic buildings, the Great Arsenal, adding a multicultural dimension to the event.
The organizers expressed their gratitude, stating:
«The large number of photographs displayed and the high quality of the work received positive feedback from all visitors to the exhibition. This serves as motivation for the Blank Wall Gallery and the Cip Festival team to make every effort to hold the festival annually.»
