A fire broke out for the second time this year around 2:00 PM in the area of Plytra, Laconia, under circumstances that remain unknown. The blaze ignited along the road leading to Daimonia, where strong winds are complicating firefighting efforts and facilitating the fire’s spread.
In response to the emergency, both ground and aerial firefighting units have been mobilized. According to the Fire Service’s announcement, 36 firefighters are currently on the scene, supported by a specialized team from the 9th Emergency Response Unit, 13 vehicles, 6 aircraft, and one helicopter.
