On a lively Wednesday evening, July 6, a small yet vibrant concert graced the town of Velies, featuring the up-and-coming band 1st Floor. This event was part of a cultural initiative organized by the Velies cultural association Anagennisi, known for its diverse and energetic contributions to the local community.
The band, composed of four enthusiastic 17-year-olds—a girl on bass and three boys on guitars and drums—infused the Velies Primary School with an electrifying atmosphere filled with rock sounds.
They performed a mix of original songs and covers in both Greek and English, with all members sharing vocal duties, which kept the audience engaged throughout the night. Despite their youth, the band’s cohesive sound and palpable passion stood out, creating an impressive experience for all attendees.
