The Institute of Sparta celebrated a significant milestone in 2025, marking fifteen years of continuous and creative operation dedicated to the enhancement and development of Sparta. This commitment is evident in their various initiatives aimed at promoting the historical and cultural significance of the region.
In a recent announcement, representatives of the Institute highlighted their achievements, stating, “Through the organization of International Scientific Conferences, the establishment of the unique Scientific Journal for Sparta, ‘THE HISTORICAL REVIEW OF SPARTA,’ and the foundation of the International Network for Sparta, ‘SPARTANET,’ we have made substantial contributions. Our efforts include numerous workshops focused on development, environmental issues, and the dissemination of information among collective entities, alongside publications, videos, and documentaries. We have also fostered collaborations with institutions such as Greek and foreign universities, Cosmote History, local government, and recently, the Academy of Athens. We believe we are fulfilling our duty to our historic city.”
The Institute’s representatives expressed their commitment to continue with renewed vigor, stating, “We move forward with faith in our values and the importance of Sparta, setting new dynamic goals for the next fifteen years, supported by a revitalized team.” They emphasized the importance of community support, expressing hope for the continued backing of Spartans and friends of Sparta.
