The 9th Chania International Photo Festival is set to welcome visitors on Thursday, July 9 at 6:00 PM, held at the historic Megalo Arsenali in the Old Port of Chania.
This festival, which has established itself as one of the most significant photographic events worldwide, will host photographers from across the globe this year. These artists have expressed their intention to join us in Chania to partake in this unique experience.
The audience is invited to explore the exhibitions, connect with creators from diverse nations, and exchange ideas and opinions surrounding contemporary photography.
As part of the festival, the traditional Photographic Marathon will commence on Friday, July 10. Participants, both Greek and international, are encouraged to showcase their perspective on Chania through three distinct photographic themes.
Submissions are to be made digitally, with each participant allowed to submit three photographs until midnight on Sunday, July 12. Interested individuals should send their full name and contact number to the email: info@cipfestival.com.
Participation cards will be available for collection at the Megalo Arsenali on the day the marathon begins. The announcement of winners and awards will take place on Monday, July 13, at 8:00 PM, within the festival venue (Megalo Arsenali).
The six best submissions will receive an honorary distinction, while the top two will win photographic equipment.
