For the second consecutive year, Kinsterna has been awarded 2 Michelin Keys in the Michelin Guide’s selection of hotels for 2026, making it one of only nine hotels in Greece to receive this prestigious recognition.
The Michelin Keys serve as a distinction for the hospitality sector, akin to the renowned Michelin Stars in the culinary world. This evaluation encompasses the overall experience of a stay, considering various factors such as architecture, design, connection to the locale, quality of hospitality, authenticity, and the unique character of each establishment.
For Kinsterna, this accolade holds special significance as it rewards a hospitality experience deeply intertwined with the history of the mansion, the daily life of the estate, and the traditions of Monemvasia and Laconia.
Nestled in a restored Byzantine mansion, the stay at Kinsterna is closely linked to the everyday operations of an active estate. The vineyards, olive groves, orchards, and gardens are still cultivated, with the produce reaching the kitchen daily. Additionally, traditional experiential activities, such as grape harvesting and bread-making, remain vibrant aspects of the estate’s life and the visitors’ experience.
