Air Canada is set to relaunch its seasonal service for the summer of 2026, offering daily flights from Athens to Montreal and Toronto. This year’s program sees enhancements compared to last year, with flights commencing earlier. During the peak summer season, up to 10 flights will operate weekly between Montreal and Athens, and 11 flights between Toronto and Athens.
Stefano Casaregola, Regional Manager for Italy, Greece, and Cyprus, expressed the airline’s enthusiasm about resuming flights to Athens for the summer of 2026. He highlighted that these flights provide more options and greater convenience for travelers between Greece and North America. The flights serve as a vital link between Greece and Canada, connecting families, supporting business activities, and encouraging cultural exchange.
The relaunch coincides with Canada’s official recognition of March as «Hellenic Heritage Month,» honoring the deep historical roots, cultural legacy, and ongoing contributions of Greek Canadians across the country.
With an expanded program, three classes of service, and seamless connections through Montreal and Toronto, Air Canada aims to remain the preferred choice for travel between Greece and Canada. Flights to and from Athens are scheduled to facilitate easy connections to destinations across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America.
Passengers continuing their journey to the United States via Montreal or Toronto will benefit from U.S. Pre-Clearance facilities in Canada, allowing for a quicker passport control process and arrival in the U.S. as domestic passengers.
The flights will be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Boeing 777 aircraft, which offer three classes of service: Signature Class with fully reclining seats, upgraded dining options, and priority services; Premium Economy with wider seats and enhanced meal service; and Economy Class with complimentary meals and individual entertainment screens.
This comprehensive service enhancement not only aims to meet the growing demand for travel between Greece and Canada but also contributes significantly to extending the tourism season and reducing seasonality in the region.
