In a remarkable achievement, the Sakellaropoulos Organic Olive Groves have garnered prestigious accolades at the CINVE International Olive Oil Competition 2026 held in Cáceres, Spain. The competition, renowned for its rigorous quality standards, saw the olive groves secure ten high-level awards across various categories, with scores reaching an impressive 95%.
The CINVE IOOC is recognized globally for its stringent evaluation criteria, which adhere to the tasting methods established by the International Olive Council. This competition is considered one of the most challenging and prestigious in the world, significantly influencing the global ranking of olive oils, particularly through the EVOO World Ranking. Spain, being a leading olive oil producer, had the highest number of entries, contributing to the competition’s high level of difficulty.
In 2026, approximately 1,000 olive oils from various olive-producing countries participated, including Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Brazil, China, Tunisia, the USA, Portugal, and Japan, showcasing an exceptional standard of quality.
The awarded organic and gourmet olive oils from Sakellaropoulos include:
- FYLLIKON Organic Protelio – Gold (notably, this is the only awarded Greek olive oil in the «Intensos» category at the competition)
- AGOURELAIO Organic – Gold
- ARMONIA Organic – Gold (both Agourelaio and Armonia are the only awarded Greek olive oils in the «Ecologicos» category)
- MASTERPIECE Blend EVOO – Gold
- PLUS HEALTH DMB EVOO – Silver
- PLUS HEALTH GREEN EVOO – Silver
- Flavored Gourmet ENIGMA – Silver

In a statement, George Sakellaropoulos expressed that this exceptional recognition at the CINVE IOOC 2026 is of international significance, occurring amidst a highly competitive tasting evaluation featuring nearly all top olive oil companies and producers from Spain. He emphasized that this achievement marks a significant milestone for Greece, particularly for the region of Sparta in Laconia, and highlights the journey of the Sakellaropoulos organic olive groves.
Additionally, with these ten awards in Spain, the Sakellaropoulos olive groves have set a new global record with a total of 1,242 international awards from the most significant competitions worldwide. This achievement underscores the commitment to quality and excellence in the field of olive oil production.
