Join the Greek Mountaineering Club of Molai and Southeastern Laconia for an exciting hiking adventure on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the historic Talanta watermill. This picturesque site, nestled in the lush greenery of Laconia, has served as a vital part of village life for decades, where locals once ground their wheat. Today, it stands as a tranquil reminder of traditional Laconian life and the enduring power of water, representing a cherished piece of local history.
The hike is suitable for families, making it an excellent opportunity for all ages to connect with nature. After completing the trail, participants will enjoy a meal at the watermill, fostering a sense of community and shared experience.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable outing, attendees are advised to bring essential items: sturdy hiking boots, a hat, a headlamp, sunglasses, a backpack with personal belongings, at least one liter of water, and energy-boosting snacks such as nuts, energy bars, or sesame candy. Most importantly, participants should come with a positive attitude and a spirit of teamwork.
