A delegation from the Association of Persons with Disabilities of Laconia visited the Deputy Regional Governor of Laconia, Theodoros Veroutis, on Friday, May 22, 2026. This meeting was a significant working session focused on accessibility issues, daily living conditions, and enhancing collaboration between the Regional Unit of Laconia and the Association.
Present at the meeting were the Association’s President, Stavros Lamprinakos, Treasurer Argiro Petrakou, and volunteer collaborator Sofia Soupou. They addressed critical topics concerning the improvement of accessibility in public spaces and services, the daily mobility of individuals with disabilities, and the necessity for their equal participation in social and public life. Additionally, they discussed matters related to citizen services and the creation of a more friendly and functional environment for all.
A particular emphasis was placed on the importance of ongoing cooperation between the Peloponnese Region and organizations representing individuals with disabilities. This collaboration aims to identify needs promptly and promote meaningful interventions that enhance the quality of life for citizens.
In his statement, Deputy Regional Governor Theodoros Veroutis remarked:
