Brief Overview of the Play
Set in a grand country home during the mid-1950s, the story unfolds as a family and their staff prepare for a Christmas celebration. Suddenly, the host is discovered dead in his bedroom, a knife lodged in his back.
Due to inclement weather and possible sabotage, the household finds itself isolated, cut off from the outside world until conditions allow for travel to the nearest town. With no means of communication, the occupants begin to search for the culprit among themselves, as the seclusion of the house makes it unlikely that an outsider could have committed the crime.
The play raises the question: who among them is the murderer? The wife, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, maid, cook, sister, or one of the victim’s daughters? To defend themselves, each woman turns on another, revealing long-held secrets and hidden resentments at a rapid pace. Each character carries her own narrative and secrets waiting to be uncovered.
This production not only promises to deliver an intriguing story but also highlights the talents of the local artistic community, making it a must-see event for both theater enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.
Mark your calendars and prepare for a thrilling experience that delves deep into the complexities of human relationships and the darker facets of family dynamics.
