In a remarkable showcase of excellence, the organic olive groves of Sakellaropoulos from Sparta, Laconia, continue to garner prestigious international awards. Recently, they achieved an impressive feat by securing 16 awards from 16 entries—a perfect success rate—at the 10th edition of the Masters of Olives & Olive Oil International Competition 2026, held in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
The competition, which took place from May 25 to May 30, 2026, attracted hundreds of olive oils and table olives from various olive-producing countries. Notably, the Sakellaropoulos table olives, known as Lemonenies, clinched the 1st place in the overall ranking, outshining competitors from Spain and Italy, who took the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
