A significant milestone has been achieved by the Peloponnese Development Organization (PDO) with the approval of its financial statements for the fiscal year 2024. For the first time since its establishment, the organization has reported profitability, marking a departure from its previous years of losses.
This development was presented during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Peloponnese Region, attended by the Regional Governor, Dimitris Ptochos. The financial data not only reflects a positive year but also signifies a substantial transformation: the PDO is evolving into a stable, efficient, and modern partner for the Region, capable of actively supporting its developmental planning.
The CEO, Theodoros Kounadeas, highlighted that the financial results for 2024 amounted to profits of €43,295.50, a notable turnaround from the previous year’s losses of €208,886.90. He emphasized that the PDO is managing its financial metrics with the aim of reversing the accumulated losses from 2021 to 2023 while ensuring its sustainability through stable revenue sources that do not burden the Region.
The President of the PDO, Dimitris Schoinohoritis, remarked, «This year’s financial performance is evidence of a concerted effort based on methodical planning, consistency, and transparency. The organization will continue to evolve, enhance its operations, and support the developmental projects of the Peloponnese Region with all its strength.»
Governor Dimitris Ptochos praised the excellent collaboration between the Peloponnese Region and the PDO in achieving their common goals, commending the organization’s staff for their efforts in this direction.
During the meeting, board members agreed that the prospects for the PDO in 2025 are highly positive, contingent upon the organization’s continued commitment to its core objectives.
Through ongoing training for its personnel and partners, expanding its activities, and developing new services and collaborations, the PDO is positioned as a valuable ally in implementing projects and policies that will contribute to the ongoing developmental trajectory of the Peloponnese.
